Melissa writes YA books about messy girls trying their best. She loves blending the visceral angst, hilarious banter and complex relationships of contemporary with ominous and unsettling speculative elements. Setting is a prominent character in all of her books, the more New England the better.

She currently lives just outside of Boston with her boyfriend and two dogs and likes to spend as much time as possible writing, reading and visiting craft beer breweries.
